Beach, Chastain and Bittner have been playing together long enough to watch each other's kids grow up. The tight rhythms they put down are clear evidence of the years they've worked the clubs together. The advent of Reggie Haggans (vocals) and Thad Straw (keyboards) in 2002 nicely rounded out the band's sound and has underlined their appeal, making them one of SW Oregon's premier party bands.

Beach, Chastain and Bittner go back fifteen years as fellow musicians in different combinations in Mo' Greens, SBR & the Hornheads, and The Spoilers. SBR shared billings with Curtis Salgato, The Daddies, Paul Delay and other northwest greats.

MR DJT evolved from SBR and the Hornheads, an eight piece "show band" with a four- piece horn section specializing in classic funk, R&B and rock/blues. The last couple of years the band featured Deb Cleveland, one of Eugene, Oregon's finest and most hailed blues vocalists.

The Spoilers was a reincarnation of the SBR rhythm section delving into dirtier blues, jazz and even some surf tunes, a project joined by Oregon guitar legend Gary Beck.

MR DJT formed in 2002 once Thad joined the band, and then not long after, Reggie filled the lead vocal / front man position. MR DJT utilized the initials of their first names to create the band's final name. Since coming together, the band has continued to tighten up and exercise their creative energy.

Since the summer of 2002, MR DJT has continued to be featured at more and more major events throughout SW Oregon, including the Roseburg's Summer Arts Festival, the Umpqua Valley Wine Festival and special winery celebrations throughout the region.

MR DJT's set list includes engaging originals, purely memorable funk era classics from the likes of James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone and the Commodores; and selections from Santana, Etta James, Steely Dan, Steve Ray Vaughn, Marvin Gaye, and Lloyd Jones. The music they write, and the covers they select, are groove based and aimed at the dance floor.
